It Took a Snow Day...

Well, friends and future friends, here it is. It's a Sunday evening and I haven't started dinner yet. The whole house is a bit of a wreck, there's still piles of laundry downstairs and dishes in the sink. I am still even in my pajamas and I didn't shovel today. Yes, I'll have a lot of catching up to do, but I am ever so grateful to have this done. I woke up over the weekend and said, "you've wanted to do this for years. What on earth is stopping you?"

(Besides the parenting and housework and job-type-work stuff). That's actually *exactly* what's been stopping me. There was always something else that needed doing, and thus slip years of exhausted parenting. Yes, I enjoy my kids and we have a lot of fun together, but getting this done has been on the back burner. There's a lot more to come, of course, and this is only a modest start. I'm grateful to my colleague Jessica Crane Munoz, for our logo design, a wonderful surprise, and to my colleagues, the 'Potatoes,' who have given me the extra boost I needed to get this far this weekend. So stay tuned! I welcome you to join me as we set out on this grand experiment--as a host site, group facilitator, group member, or any of the other roles that come up as we go and grow. Thank you for your interest. I hope to hear your stories and to share some more of mine.
